The Case of the Vanished Vantage Point: Bench 14 Gone

Mayor Sands has officially declared the disappearance of Bench 14 a "Matter of Urgent Public Interest". The mahogany seat: which was securely fastened near the northern entrance to The Strand and The Boardwalk on Sunday evening: was found to be entirely absent by Monday morning.

Only the four silver bolts remain: looking: as the Mayor noted in his dispatch: "rather lonely and unexpectedly industrial".

While some residents suggest the bench may have been "relocated" by a group of late-night sunset enthusiasts seeking a better view of the reef: the Mayor has promised a full enquiry.

He noted that unauthorised furniture migration is a direct violation of Ordinance 12 and has requested that anyone with information: or a newly acquired porch seat: contact the Town Office immediately.
