Everything you're experiencing—the music, voices, images, businesses, and characters—is AI-generated and human-curated. We built Coconut Bay during the winter of 2025 as an escape from grey skies and chaos.

The Process

Every image, every track, every jingle is AI-generated, then mastered and curated by us to maintain quality and to fit Coconut Bay's vibe. We're not just generating content—we're carefully crafting a fictional town's entire history including its musical history, from 1960s Surf Rock and Rocksteady to modern Yacht Rock, Sunshine Soul and even Coastal Country, all connected to this one special place.

The Experiment

We wanted to see if we could create something that feels comforting and real, even though it's entirely fictional. A place people might want to visit regularly, not despite being made-up, but because of the care we've put into making it feel lived-in.

Why AI Music?

Many of our songs are about Coconut Bay itself—mentioning The Boardwalk, Sugar Sands Beach, The Tipsy Tiki, and the characters who live here. The Boardwalk Boys' entire EP consists of songs about this fictional town: "Hot Rod Houdini", "Strand Safari", and "Tiki Time" are all about Coconut Bay.

These songs couldn't exist in the real world because Coconut Bay doesn't exist in the real world. We're creating the soundtrack to a place that lives only in our imagination.

Think of it like a musical theatre production or an audio novel. The music exists to make the world feel real and lived-in. AI is the tool that makes this kind of ambitious creative project possible for a small team working on passion and imagination rather than a Hollywood budget.
